Job summary

Lakelovers Ambleside, part of Forge Holiday Group Ltd, is seeking a dedicated Laundry Assistant to run daily laundry operations and support housekeeping across properties in Ambleside.

You will manage linen, liaise with suppliers, and deliver clean linen while maintaining guest-ready standards. A flexible role for both full-time and part-time applicants, with opportunities to develop in a busy hospitality team.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day laundry operations and liaise with suppliers.
• Count and check freshly laundered linen; record shortfalls or rejects.
• Deliver clean linen using fleet vehicles when required.
• Conduct property inspections, corrective cleaning, and special requests.
• Prepare linen for weekly departures and maintain stock levels.
• Manage soiled linen, keeping the area tidy before collection by suppliers.
• Provide practical feedback to support departmental performance.
• Promote excellent customer service to guests and owners.
• Undertake any additional duties within the scope of the role as requested.

• Salary: £12.71 per hour
• Work Days & Hours: 22 hours worked between Monday and Saturday.
• Working Location: Ambleside
• Team: Housekeeping

About the Role:

We're looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented Laundry Assistant to join our Lakelovers Ambleside team. You'll be key to keeping our laundry and housekeeping running like clockwork, making sure every property is guest-ready. You'll work closely with our cleaners, resolving laundry and housekeeping issues over the phone and face-to-face.

You’ll need to multitask, stay organised, and collaborate effectively to help maintain our high standards. This is a flexible role suitable for both full-time and part-time applicants.

What You'll Do:

• Manage day-to-day laundry operations and liaise with suppliers
• Count and check freshly laundered linen; record shortfalls or rejects
• Deliver clean linen using fleet vehicles when required
