Job summary

Six Senses London is seeking a Laundry Attendant to support our vision of sustainable, wellness-focused hospitality. You will manage daily laundry tasks, assist guests with requests, and ensure linens are clean and ready in line with brand standards.

The role requires at least a year in a similar setting, fluent English, and a commitment to eco-friendly practices. On-site work in London with opportunities for training and career development across the Six Senses network.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English; additional languages preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily washing, drying, ironing, collecting, and delivery per hotel policy with Laundry Supervisor.
  • Receive and address guest requests; escalate issues to Laundry Supervisor.
  • Ensure linen requests are fulfilled promptly and stock supplies are prepared for shift.
  • Inspect and maintain cleanliness and appearance of laundered items; check fabric care.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Monitor daily washing, drying, ironing, collecting, and delivery service according to the hotel policy in coordination with the Laundry Supervisor.
  • Handle guest requests and immediately refer issues and feedback to Laundry Supervisor.
  • Ensure that guest requests for additional linen are delivered promptly.
  • Collect required stock supplies for shift.
  • Dust and clean all lampshades, ceiling, ceiling fans, exhaust fans, machines, walls, in Laundry on daily basis.
  • Ensure all supplies and cleaning equipment are in good working condition and stored in proper locations.
  • Watch for defects and is responsible for the immaculate appearance of laundered items.
  • Issue uniforms to new starters or reject old uniforms when required.
  • Behave in an ecologically friendly manner, help to reduce the amount of energy and cleaning supplies.
  • Report required repair to Laundry Supervisor.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance, grooming and hygiene.
  • Knowledge of all safety, security and emergency procedures related to my position in line with brand and statutory requirements.
  • Knowledge and strict adherence to LQA standards.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year’s experience in a similar operational setting. Hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.
  • Good understanding of scheduling work, and knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals and surfaces. Confident with knowledge of fabric types, colors and fabric care.
  • Fluent in English; I understand that additional languages are preferred.
