Job Overview

A public sector organisation in Wishaw is currently looking to recruit 15 x Laundry Assistants for contracts until 12th April 2027.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Categorising dirty linen.
• Feeding work to and unloading work from industrial ironing and folding equipment.
• Packing & folding linen items.
• Cleaning equipment and laundry in general.
• Pushing & pulling cages of linen.
• Other duties as required.

• Physically demanding job. Constantly standing, bending, lifting, and twisting for the full working day.

• Working in varying temperatures throughout the laundry (i.e., hot in the calendar area during summer and cold in winter).
• Previous experience in laundry work would be beneficial; however, it is not a prerequisite as training will be given.
