What does a day in the life of a Laundry Assistant look like?

Our Laundry Assistants are responsible for ensuring that all residents’ personal clothing and linen are laundered and cleaned to the highest standards:

• Ensure items are appropriately separated and laundered according to washing/drying instructions
• Launder all linen, including bedding, tablecloths, towels, and soft furnishings as required
• Ensure personal items are collected and returned within a reasonable timescale to their owner
• Maintain the laundry area in a tidy and safe condition and notify the Housekeeper of any safety hazards or defective equipment
• Perform general cleaning duties as required
• Develop positive relationships with residents, staff, and visitors, becoming an integral part of the team
