What does a Laundry Assistant do?

Our Laundry Assistants ensure that all residents’ personal clothing and linen are laundered and cleaned to the highest standards. Responsibilities include:

• Appropriately separating and laundering items according to washing/drying instructions
• Laundering all linen, including bedding, tablecloths, towels, and soft furnishings
• Collecting and returning personal items within a reasonable timescale
• Maintaining a tidy and safe laundry area and notifying the Housekeeper of hazards or defective equipment
• Performing general cleaning duties
• Developing positive relationships with residents, staff, and visitors
