Job summary

Ardencote Manor - Hiddenwell, Luxury Wellness Retreat, is seeking a Laundry Assistant to join the Housekeeping team. This full-time, permanent role offers 37.5 hours per week across early shifts, with weekend work.

You will sort, wash, dry, iron and fold hotel linen and uniforms to high standards, maintain hygiene in the laundry area, operate machines safely and support a dedicated team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Laundry/housekeeping or hospitality experience is an advantage but not essential.
• Positive, hardworking attitude with pride in high standards.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
• Commitment to maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and safety.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, iron and fold hotel linen, towels and uniforms to a high standard.
• Ensure clean linen and uniforms are neatly organised and distributed to departments.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and organisation in the laundry area.
• Operate laundry machinery safely and report faults or maintenance needs.
• Handle linen and uniforms with care to prevent damage or loss.
• Follow health, safety and hygiene procedures for a safe workspace.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and dedicated Laundry Assistant to join our Housekeeping Team

Behind every beautifully presented bedroom, fresh towel and perfectly prepared guest experience is a team working hard behind the scenes. As a Laundry Assistant, you'll play an essential role in ensuring our linen, towels and uniforms are cleaned, cared for and presented to the highest standards

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role, takes pride in maintaining high standards and loves being part of a supportive team

What You'll Be Doing

• Sorting, washing, drying, ironing and folding hotel linen, towels and uniforms to a high standard
• Ensuring clean linen and uniforms are neatly organised, stored and distributed to the relevant departments
• Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, hygiene and organisation throughout the laundry area
• Operating laundry machinery safely and reporting any faults or maintenance concerns
• Handling linen and uniforms with care to prevent damage or loss
• Following health, safety and hygiene procedures to maintain a safe working environment
• Working closely with the Laundry Supervisor and wider Housekeeping Team to ensure the smooth running of daily operations

Additional Information

• Full-Time position working 5 out of 7 days per week - including weekends and public holidays
• Shift Patterns: 6am-2pm, 7am-3pm, 8am-4pm
• 37.5 hours per week
• Salary: £ 12.71 per hour
