Job description

Job Title: Laundry Assistant at Ardingly College

Ardingly College is currently seeking to recruit a Laundry Assistant to deliver and maintain a high and consistent standard of laundry service to the pupils, staff, and guests of the College.

Duties include:

1. Operating laundry equipment
2. Sorting, washing, and drying items of laundry according to manufacturer's instructions
3. Sorting, ironing, folding, bagging, and labeling items of laundry for collection
4. Assisting with the preparation of boarding houses and accommodation units, including moving bedding and making beds if requested

Previous experience in a commercial or school laundry is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Working hours:

• 7:15 am to 3:45 pm during term time (34 weeks per year)
• 8:00 am to 12:00 pm during school holidays

Salary: £19,674.50 per annum
