We are currently seeking to fill the position of Day Matron (Junior House).
Wycombe Abbey seeks to appoint a Day Matron for Junior House, Wycombe Abbey's dedicated UIII (year 7) house, to be a vital support to the wider house team.
In addition to domestic responsibilities, it is important to be an approachable and comforting presence for the girls, someone they can talk to if they are feeling unwell or homesick. You will also have the opportunity to help wake the girls up in the morning and be a positive presence at breakfast to ensure the pupils are organised and ready for the day ahead.
The ideal candidate will have positive interactions with, and an understanding of, the needs of young people, able to organise time effectively, and be an effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
Contract: This is a permanent, part-time contract.
Hours of Work: 33.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, during Wycombe Abbey term time. The first six months will be a probationary period.
Salary: £17,143.16 per annum, (based on FTE £26,539.50 per annum).
