Job summary

Crystal Care Collection is seeking a dedicated Laundry Assistant to provide a high-quality laundry service for residents, respecting privacy and dignity. The role includes labeling items, following safety and care guidelines, and working with a team to maintain a clean, organized laundry area.

Full training is provided, with a permanent rota and a supportive work environment. Average 31.5 hours per week on a rolling rota, 8:00am–5:00pm, located in the care home.

Qualifications

• Previous laundry or housekeeping experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high-quality laundry service following appropriate fabric care instructions and residents' individual requirements.
• Ensure all residents' clothing and personal items are clearly labelled, well maintained and returned promptly to the correct person.
• Respect residents' privacy, dignity and confidentiality at all times.
• Comply with Health & Safety, COSHH, Infection Prevention & Control and all relevant legislation and company policies.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and report any faults or maintenance issues promptly to the Maintenance Operative and General Manager.
• Monitor the laundry environment to ensure it remains clean, organised and safe at all times.
• Use initiative to identify and deal with spillages or hazards immediately.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, attending meetings and training sessions while contributing to a positive and supportive team culture.
• Support the wider home wherever appropriate to ensure residents receive the highest standard of service.

About the Role

As a Laundry Assistant, you'll play an important part in the daily life of our home by providing a high-quality laundry service that meets the individual needs of every resident.

Key Responsibilities

Pay

£13.16 per hour
