Job summary

Ayrshire Independent Living Network (AILN) is seeking a reliable laundry operative to wash, dry, iron and fold clothing, bedding and other items. You will handle laundry safely and ensure high standards of cleanliness.

You will sort laundry, pack completed orders for collection or delivery, keep areas tidy and support the team in a busy environment. Car driving is essential for collection and delivery of laundry.

Responsibilities

• Washing, drying, ironing and folding clothing, bedding and other laundry items.
• Sorting laundry and ensuring items are handled correctly.
• Operating washing machines, tumble dryers and ironing equipment safely.
• Checking finished items to ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Packing and preparing completed laundry orders for customer collection or delivery.
• Keeping the laundry and ironing areas clean, tidy and organised.
• Assisting with other general duties as required.
