Holmes Care Group LTD in Scotland is seeking a Laundry Assistant at Lomond View to support our residents. You will launder and tidy clothing and linen, following washing instructions and maintaining a clean, safe laundry area as part of the care team.

Qualifications

• Laundry duties include laundering and cleaning residents’ personal clothing and linen to high standards.
• Items must be separated and laundered according to washing/drying instructions.
• Launder linen and bedding, towels and soft furnishings as required.
• Collect and return personal items within a reasonable time.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a tidy and safe laundry area and report any hazards or defective equipment.
• Perform general cleaning duties as required.
• Develop positive relationships with residents, staff and visitors as part of the team.

What does the day of a Laundry Assistant look like?

Our Laundry Assistants are responsible for ensuring that all items of residents’ personal clothing and linen is laundered and cleaned to the highest standards:

• - Ensure items are appropriately separated and laundered according to washing/drying instructions
• - Launder all linen, including bedding, table cloths, towels and soft furnishings as required
• - Ensure personal items are collected and returned within a reasonable timescale to their owner
• - Maintain the laundry area in a tidy and safe condition and notify the Housekeeper of any safety hazards or defective equipment
• - Perform general cleaning duties as required
• - Develop a positive relationship with all residents, staff and visitors by becoming an important part of the team
