Job summary

Delphi Care Solutions Ltd is launching a new domiciliary care service in Torquay, focused on compassionate, personalised support for older people and those with dementia. The role, either a CQC Registered Manager or senior care professional, involves leading the registration process and building the initial team.

Hours are approximately 20-25 per week with flexibility, and there is scope to increase hours as the service grows.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in adult social care with senior/managerial experience.
• Ability to apply for CQC manager registration or support Fit Person Interview.
• Knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards and governance fundamentals.
• Demonstrated warmth, empathy and accountability in care leadership.
• Able to support building new systems and processes in a start-up service.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the agency through the CQC registration process.
• Collaborate with the owner to shape the service, values and direction.
• Prepare documentation for registration and Fit Person Interview.
• Establish policies, governance and quality assurance systems.
• Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and Fundamental Standards.
• Develop a person-centred domiciliary care model, including dementia care considerations.
• Recruit, induct and develop the initial care team.
• Contribute to client assessments and onboarding.
• Build relationships with local commissioners and health professionals.
• Support launch readiness and sustainable growth.
• Promote a culture where clients are respected and staff valued.
