Job summary

Aramark UK is seeking an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the launch and day-to-day operation of the Boiler House Restaurant opening in mid-January 2026. You will help deliver exceptional food, service, and a great guest experience while developing the team and ensuring operational excellence.

In this role you will oversee daily operations, assist in managing labour, costs, and stock, lead shifts, and ensure food safety and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or management experience in hospitality or restaurant environments.
• Hands-on leader who develops and motivates teams.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience managing customer service and guest concerns.
• Good financial awareness with understanding of labour, food and operating costs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Flexible with working hours, including weekends and evenings.
• Experience supporting a new restaurant opening is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the Restaurant Manager in day-to-day operation of the restaurant.
• Lead and motivate the team to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Assist in managing labour, food, and operating costs to achieve targets.
• Ensure waste management processes are followed and reviewed.
• Maintain pricing, promotions, and menu standards in line with company guidelines.
• Support stock control, ordering, and inventory management.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of team members.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health and safety, and company procedures.
• Act as Duty Manager when required and lead shifts confidently.
• Support achievement of KPIs and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
