Jewson is recruiting a Transport Allocator for our Launceston branch to optimise vehicle capacity and ensure on-time deliveries. You will work with local teams to balance demand with available resources, while maintaining compliance with transport legislation and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in transport planning, logistics coordination or fleet scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Allocate and plan customer deliveries to meet delivery commitments and service levels.
• Maximise fleet utilisation and delivery capacity while maintaining efficiency.
• Collaborate with branches to understand requirements and manage priorities.
• Identify and resolve delivery issues before they affect customers.
• Create efficient daily delivery schedules and vehicle allocations.
• Plan branch transfers, stock movements and inter-branch deliveries cost-effectively.
• Assist with analysis of failed or delayed deliveries and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure operations comply with Operator Licence requirements and transport legislation.
• Maintain accurate information across transport systems and reporting tools.
• Monitor use of Delivery Management Systems and transport processes.
