As a Remote Interpreter, you will facilitate communication between clients and individuals with limited English proficiency, working remotely via phone or video calls. You will interpret conversations accurately and efficiently in various professional settings, providing essential language support.

Requirements

The Job

• Interpreting between English and your native language over phone or video calls.
• Providing interpretation services to clients with limited English proficiency.
• Interpreting for legal, health, and local government services.
• Checking understanding with non-English speakers after each sentence.
• Performing conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting.
• Providing accurate, confidential, and impartial interpretation.
• Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to the Code of Conduct.

About You

• Fluent in English and another language.
• You must have the right to work in the UK.
• You must be aged 21 or over.
• Formal qualifications such as:
• Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI)
• Community Interpreting
• NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registration (advantageous)
• Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
• Other interpreting-related qualifications
