Job summary

Optiver is expanding its Digital Assets trading capabilities and seeks a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join the Global Cloud Platforms team in London. You will help build the foundations for a trading tenancy on our cloud platform, extending to meet latency-sensitive, always-on market demands.

You will deliver secure, performant infrastructure, drive IaC with Terraform/Terragrunt, and improve observability, security, and incident response in a multi-cloud, trading-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience owning production infrastructure as an engineer (Platform, SRE, or Infra Eng).
• Strong cloud infrastructure knowledge, including VPC design and performance networking features.
• Proven ability to write and maintain Terraform modules and run IaC safely.

Responsibilities

• Design low-latency infrastructure using cloud primitives and optimized configurations.
• Own and optimize cloud infrastructure performance setups.
• Build and run high-throughput, resilient connectivity patterns for exchange integrations.
• Drive security hygiene with secrets management, network segmentation and traffic isolation.
• Implement governance for shared cloud platform enabling safe multi-tenant operation.
• Deliver infrastructure as code using Terraform and Terragrunt per standards.
• Build and maintain CI/CD and automated testing for changes in always-on markets.
• Implement observability using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana and related tools.
• Participate in incident response and post-incident improvements.
