Job summary

HR GO Group is seeking a Laser Punch Operator in Slough to run the Amada Laser Punch for sheet metal production. You will read drawings, nest parts, set up tooling, and ensure quality through in-process checks.

The role offers flexible start times across day, late, or night shifts and is permanent. The successful candidate will have proven experience with Amada Laser Punch machines, a solid understanding of fabrication tooling, and the ability to work from engineering drawings while maintaining

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating Amada Laser Punch machines.
• Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes and tooling.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and CNC programmes.
• Competent in basic machine setup, tool changes and minor troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program and operate Amada Laser Punch equipment for sheet metal production runs.
• Interpret engineering drawings, nesting plans and work orders accurately.
• Load tooling, fixtures and materials; adjust machine parameters for material type and thickness.
• Monitor production for quality; perform in-process inspections and final checks.
• Carry out basic preventative maintenance and routine cleaning of machines.
• Report faults and work with maintenance to resolve issues quickly to minimise downtime.
• Maintain accurate production records, timesheets and material usage logs.
• Follow health & safety procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Laser Punch Operator

Manufacturing and Production Slough, Berkshire £18 - £20 per hour Permanent

New opportunity at this busy sheet metal fabrication company for someone to operate this Amada Laser Punch combination machine. You will produce high-quality components to drawing specifications, and contribute to a safe, efficient workshop environment.

This role can be offered on a day, late or night shift and the company has flexibility to adjust start and finish times to suit.
