Job summary

HTA Group in Darwen, Lancashire is seeking an experienced Flat Bed Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will set up and operate laser machines, read engineering drawings and maintain high workmanship standards on metal parts.

The role requires proactivity, teamwork and a focus on productivity, with a shift-based schedule: Week 1 and Week 2 patterns outlined in the advert. Pay is £14.07–£14.97 per hour with attendance and shift allowances.

Qualifications

• Experience as a flat bed laser operator.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of different metals is advantageous.

Job description

Location:Darwen, Lancashire
Hours of Work:
Week 1 –6am-2pm Mon-Thurs and Fri 6-12pm
Week 2 –Mon- Thurs 2pm – 10pm and Fri 12pm-6pm
Pay: £14.07-£14.97ph (Attendance allowance and Shift allowance included)

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

• Must have previous experience as a Flat Bed Laser Operator, Trumpf or Bystronic an advantage
• Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings
• Knowledge of different metals an advantage
• Able to set and maintain a high standard of workmanship
• Able to work pro-actively and as part of a team to improve productivity and efficiency
