Job summary

Pertemps is recruiting an experienced Laser Operator to join a busy metal sheet fabrication environment in Nuneaton. The role runs Monday to Thursday, night shift, 9:00pm–7:30am, with pay of £15.00–£16.00 per hour and a Temp to Perm contract.

You will operate laser cutting machinery, load/unload materials, perform routine checks and maintenance, and ensure quality of finished components while adhering to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience operating laser cutting machinery.
• Experience in metal sheet fabrication or similar manufacturing environment.
• Good attention to detail and focus on quality.
• Ability to work independently during night shifts.
• Reliable and hardworking attitude.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and maintenance capabilities.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Laser Operator to join a busy metal sheet fabrication environment in Nuneaton.

The Role

Working Monday to Thursday on a 9:00pm – 7:30am night shift, you will be responsible for:

• Operating laser cutting machinery within a metal sheet fabrication environment
• Loading and unloading sheet metal and materials from the machines
• Setting and operating machinery safely and efficiently
• Carrying out quality checks on finished components
• Ensuring products meet required specifications and quality standards
• Performing basic maintenance and routine checks on the machinery
• Reporting any faults or issues with the equipment
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Following all health & safety and production procedures

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience operating laser cutting machinery
• Experience within metal sheet fabrication or a similar manufacturing environment
• Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality
• The ability to work independently during night shifts
• A reliable and hardworking attitude
• Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to carry out routine machine maintenance
