Job summary

Morson Group are seeking a semi-skilled and reliable Laser Operator for a client based in Ossett, United Kingdom. The role suits someone with fabrication, manufacturing or mechanical engineering experience in a fast-paced production environment.

You will help maintain high standards of quality, safety and efficiency across the manufacturing process. Key duties include setting up and operating laser cutting machinery, reading drawings, performing routine maintenance and assisting with welding,

Qualifications

• Experience in fabrication or engineering environment.
• Experience operating machinery or production equipment.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Hands-on with hand tools and welding equipment.
• Safe materials handling and warehouse procedures.
• Good mathematical measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain laser cutting machinery.
• Calibrate and run laser equipment per specifications.
• Produce precise components from various materials.
• Read and interpret technical drawings.
• Maintain machine and perform basic fault-finding.
• Record production information and report issues promptly.
• Keep the work area clean and safe.
• Assist with welding, milling and assembly when needed.
• Follow health and safety procedures.
