Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is seeking a Landscaping Specialist to support the growth of Longstock Park Landscapes, delivering both hard and soft landscaping projects on client properties. The role emphasizes safety, stock control, and exceptional customer service.

You will work onsite at Longstock Park Nursery and other premises, coordinating with the landscaping team, sourcing stock as needed, and helping to drive growth over the next five years.

Qualifications

• Horticulture or equivalent hard landscape experience is required.
• Full clean driving licence is required.
• Practical experience in landscaping services is preferred.
• Basic brick and block work and patio laying experience are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering hard and soft landscaping projects with quality and safety on each site.
• Maintain health and safety standards and procedures on site.
• Support stock control, sourcing and purchasing of appropriate landscaping materials.
• Deliver excellent customer service to clients and represent the Partnership professionally.
• Assist in site deliveries and coordination with the landscaping team.

Critical purpose of the role

To assist in the continued growth of the landscaping business through excellent delivery of hard and soft landscaping projects, exceeding customer expectations, health and safety responsibilities and accurate stock control. Representing the Partnership in customer properties with courtesy and care.

You will have the opportunity to develop personally and professionally to achieve your potential within both soft and hard landscaping.

The primary function is to support the management of the landscaping business and to develop future propositions. Longstock Park Landscapes has great potential for growth and is ready to evolve into a more profitable business model. As a team, we will be tasked to deliver significant growth over the next 5 years, with the potential to gain career progression. This role within the department will give the Partner experience and increased knowledge of the landscape and horticultural industry.

• Landscaping Operations; Planting and hard landscape services.
• Working with the Landscaping team and adhering to health and safety to work in a safe way for all.
