Job summary

Maccoll and Stokes in Glasgow are seeking an experienced Landscape Architect / Project Manager to cover maternity leave with potential for permanent employment. You will manage landscaping projects from enquiry through to handover, coordinating clients, site teams and suppliers.

The role requires strong planning, design oversight, CAD/design software familiarity and a practical, hands-on approach. A full UK driving licence is essential, with a view to progression.

Qualifications

• Previous experience managing landscaping or construction-related projects
• Strong organisational and project management skills
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
• Good understanding of drawings, specifications and construction information
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project costs
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• Confidence dealing with site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and project management software
• Experience with CAD/design software would be advantageous
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
• Full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day planning, coordination and management of multiple landscaping projects
• Review and produce landscape drawings, specifications and project information
• Prepare programmes and coordinate works
• Attend client, design and progress meetings
• Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, authorities, suppliers and subcontractors
• Carry out site visits and monitor progress, quality and programme
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors
• Assist with project pricing and cost control
• Manage variations and additional works
• Procurement and ordering of materials
• Ensure on-time delivery and project handovers
