Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of possession proceedings and notice requirements.
• Experience managing a high-volume caseload of landlord and tenant and debt recovery matters.
• Commercial awareness, with excellent drafting skills.
• Ability to supervise junior fee-earners.
• Familiarity with Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and SRA standards.
• Renters' Rights Act knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Case Management & Legal Strategy: own caseload from instruction to enforcement, handle possession matters and debt recovery, draft pleadings/witness statements, attend hearings, supervise juniors.
• Commercial Performance & Business Development: monthly billing targets, manage WIP and invoices, grow landlord and tenant or debt recovery portfolio.
• Legislative Leadership & Technical Expertise: be go-to expert on landlord and tenant law, lead training and provide technical guidance across the firm.
