Torus, a leading housing group in the North West, invites applications for a Committee Member on the Landlord Operations Committee based in Liverpool. The role supports governance and assurance across landlord services, with quarterly meetings and a monthly time commitment.

You will scrutinise performance, customer experience, and service quality, bringing independent thinking, strong judgement and collaborative approach to decision-making. Previous board experience is welcome but not essential.

We are seeking a Committee Memberto join our Landlord Operations Committee, a key governance committee responsible for providing oversight and assurance on the delivery of landlord services across the Group. This is an exciting opportunity to use your expertise and experience to influence services that make a real difference to people's lives.

As a member of the Landlord Operations Committee, you will help scrutinise performance, customer experience, service quality, compliance and continuous improvement across key landlord functions. You will work alongside fellow Committee members, Board members and Executive leaders to ensure Torus delivers safe, high-quality and customer-focused services while meeting regulatory requirements and strategic objectives.

The Committee oversees areas including:

• Repairs and maintenance
• Tenancy services
• Neighbourhood management
• Building safety
• Complaints handling
• Customer experience and service improvement

As a Committee Member, you will provide constructive challenge, independent thinking and valuable insight to support effective decision-making and strong governance.

Who We Are Looking For:

We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals with a combination of the following:

• Housing management knowledge and experience within the social housing sector, either through a housing provider or associated professional services.
• Understanding of the socio-economic environment in which housing associations operate.
• Awareness of the challenges facing customers, communities and social landlords.
• Experience in customer services, community engagement, asset management, repairs, governance, regulation or a related field.
• The ability to analyse information, challenge constructively and contribute strategically.
• Previous Board or Committee experience is desirable but not essential. We welcome applications from individuals who can bring fresh perspectives, sound judgement and a commitment to excellent customer outcomes.

What's Involved?

Committee meetings are held quarterly, typically outside normal working hours at our Head Office in Liverpool City Centre.

The role requires approximately one day per month on average, including:

• Reading and preparing for meetings
• Attending Committee meetings
• Participating in induction and development activities
• Attendance at occasional strategic events and additional meetings
