Job summary

SUEZ in the United Kingdom is seeking a committed plant operator to join our Preston site team. You will operate and maintain on-site plant equipment while delivering safe, compliant services to customers.

This role requires a flexible approach to cover holidays and sickness, strong teamwork, and a proactive attitude to keep machinery in good order and site operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Operate various items of plant on site and maintain the site.
• Safely operate mobile plant on site (tractor, 360 excavator, telehandler).
• Conduct daily checks on mobile plant to ensure good working order and scheduled maintenance is followed.
• Maintain the site and assist the team.
• Assist in delivering disposal solutions to customers.
• Carry out general daily site duties to maintain compliance.

Job description

What will I be doing?

You will be required to carry out duties individually and as a member of the team to maintain safe operations, ensure compliance and deliver customers’ requirements.

The role will involve:

• The operation of various items of plant and the maintenance/upkeep of the site.
• To safely operating the mobile plant on site, e.g. Tractor, 360 excavator and telehandler.
• Conducting daily checks on the mobile plant to ensure that the machines are always in good working order and that the manufacturers recommended maintenance schedule has been followed.
• Maintaining the site and assisting the team.
• To assist in the delivery of disposal solutions to our customers.
• General and daily site duties to maintain compliance.

What are the requirements?

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who will be expected to join the current site team to ensure site operations exceed the standards required. Additionally, a flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.
