Job summary

The National Trust for Places of Historic Interest or Natural Beauty is seeking a Land Use and Stewardship Delivery Partner on an 18-month fixed-term contract. You will lead a jointly owned land-use programme across parts of the 8 Hills Regional Park, in collaboration with Bournville Village Trust, focusing on nature-rich habitat outcomes and sustainable farming systems.

Hybrid working with a mix of site visits and office/remote work, travel across the 8 Hills area is expected.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of farming systems and farm viability.
• Knowledge of environmental issues, habitats and nature recovery.
• Ability to build or interrogate site-level financial models and funding.
• Experience managing staged and gated change programmes.
• Able to translate ambitious goals into practical, high-impact plans.
• Collaborative working across organisational boundaries to deliver outcomes.
• Excellent communication at all levels, internal and external.

Responsibilities

• Lead the staged BVT land use programme at Chadwich and Groveley.
• Develop a shared vision and long-term land-use plans; assess opportunities for nature-rich habitats.
• Manage ecological assessments and monitoring; build relationships with tenant farmers.
• Support the wider 8 Hills programme by sharing learning and maintaining stakeholder engagement.
