BYLOR is recruiting Civil Engineering Surveyors for the Hinkley Point C project in Somerset. You will join a dedicated survey team delivering one of Europe’s largest civil engineering and nuclear works, establishing a comprehensive survey control network and providing precise measurements across site and office environments.

We are expanding our capabilities by forming a new survey team to operate in parallel with our existing function, and we are seeking experienced engineering surveyors to support the delivery of one of Europe’s largest and most complex civil engineering and nuclear projects. This represents a unique and exciting new scope for Bylor, independent from our main site activities, offering you the chance to play a key role in the success of this landmark project.
Civil engineering surveying is a branch of civil engineering that deals with the measurement, analysis, and design of land and structures. Surveying is a critical part of civil engineering, as it helps provides technical support and information that is used throughout all phases of the project. As part of this role, you will be involved in establishing and implementing a comprehensive survey control network specifically designed for this scope, ensuring precise and consistent measurements are maintained throughout all project activities
Software use includes, Civil3D, AutoCAD, Leica Infinity, Leica Cyclone3RD, MicroSurvey Star*Net, Microsoft Office, Excel and more

Unless stated otherwise all positions are based at Hinkley Point C in Somerset.
Somerset boasts beautiful English countryside, an attractive coastline, interesting towns and villages along with easy access to the M5 and within proximity to the cities of Bristol and Exeter.
All positions with Bylor are employed directly with either Laing O’Rourke or Bouygues Travaux Public and include competitive salaries, private medical insurance, company pension schemes and annual holiday allowance. Some grades will also include a company car allowance.
