Land Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Land Manager to join our client's team based in Maidstone, Kent. As Senior Land Manager, you will be responsible for securing land opportunities to meet the company's requirements and expansion plans.

This role is largely self-sufficient, involving sourcing land opportunities and instructing consultants and development teams regarding legal, planning, development, and commercial constraints.

Responsibilities

1. Identify suitable land opportunities on and off market, including longer-term sites with planning potential in collaboration with the Strategic Land department.
2. Present to landowners and agents both formally and informally.
3. Negotiate legal agreements with lawyers and third parties.
4. Procure technical, legal, and development information to instruct internal and external teams for offer preparation.
5. Prepare and submit Land Approval Packs and obtain authority to acquire sites following company protocols.
6. Engage in business development to promote the company within the residential and property development sector.
7. Manage the offer process and support the Land Director and Managing Director.
8. Make approximately 20 offers per annum.
9. Acquire land in line with strategic requirements, with annual acquisition targets.
10. Maintain regular contact with land agents and owners within the operational area.
11. Monitor land bank and Land Terrier to assess potential and prevent encroachment or unauthorized use.
