Job summary

Elevate Projects Ltd is working with a client to appoint an experienced Land & Development Surveyor to join the busy Development team in Swindon. This role focuses on delivering high‑quality property advice and development strategies across commercial and residential portfolios.

You will lead development appraisals, manage staff through performance frameworks, and oversee joint venture opportunities to maximise retained asset value while ensuring compliance with statutory guidance and CIPFA/RICS

Qualifications

• Experience in land and development surveying desirable.
• Strong understanding of property portfolios and development processes.
• Ability to lead teams and manage casework effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional development advice on the commercial and residential property portfolio.
• Manage staff working to the post holder through procedural control including key result areas and development and staff appraisal techniques.
• Ensure valuation work complies with Statutory Code, CIPFA and RICS guidance and internal regulations.
• Manage letting, renewal and administration of commercial and agricultural tenancies.
• Undertake development appraisals of brownfield and greenfield sites and develop strategies for capital receipts or joint ventures.
• Negotiate joint venture agreements to secure regeneration projects and enhance retained portfolio.
• Provide property and development advice through multi-disciplinary project teams to deliver strategic plans.

Elevate Projects are working in partnership with our client to appoint an experienced Land & Development Surveyor to join their busy Development team.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

• Provide professional development advice on the commercial and residential property portfolio.
• Manage staff working to the postholder through procedural control including key result areas and development and staff appraisal techniques. Allocate cases, and give guidance, supervise, direct as well as ensure completion of assigned cases.
• Ensure that valuation work undertaken by staff working to the postholder is in accordance with the Statutory Code and CIPFA and RICS Practice Statements and Guidance Notes and is in compliance with standing orders, financial regulations, codes and practices.
• Manage the letting, renewal and ongoing administration of commercial and agricultural tenancies.
• Undertake development appraisals of brownfield and greenfield sites and develop strategies to generate capital receipts on disposal or secure joint venture agreements with third parties to deliver completed product as a retained asset.
• Negotiate joint venture agreements with third parties on land holding to secure key regeneration projects and enhance the retained portfolio.
• Provide property and development advice through multi-disciplinary project teams covering residential, retail, commercial and industrial schemes, supporting the delivery of the Property Services Business Plan, Asset Management Plan and Capital Programme
