Job summary

MBDA's Land Ceptor Systems Engineering team is expanding to support the UK and Polish programmes. The Verification & Validation (V&V) and Certification Engineer will analyse evidence and document verification against requirements to enable deliveries.

The role requires experience with requirements management and the ability to assess certification evidence. Hybrid working is available (3 days on-site per week) with a competitive package including a company bonus and enhanced parental leave.

Qualifications

• Experience with IBM Rational Doors Classic and analyzing evidence against requirements.
• Knowledge of Verification & Validation (V&V) processes and methodologies.
• Experience preparing compliance documentation and certification evidence.
• Ability to assess certification evidence and support design verification.

Responsibilities

• Capture and review evidence to enable deliveries of Certificates of Designs.
• Review technical documentation in support of functional evidence.
• Review and agree Design Verification Plans (DVP).
• Design reconciliation with design change and obsolescence.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline engineering teams (systems, mechanical, electrical, software).
• Identify verification gaps, track issues, and support corrective actions.
• Prepare and review compliance documentation and verification reports.

Job description

Here at MBDA, our Land Ceptor Systems Engineering team is growing in order to help the British and Polish Armies fulfil the full potential of the system and to extend and tailor the capability for existing and emerging export contracts.

Salary: Up to £57,000 depending on experience

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Verification & Validation (V&V) and Certification Engineer to support the development and certification of Land Ceptor Weapon System to support the UK and Poland programmes. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing evidence and documenting verification and validation against the requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills, experience with requirements management, and the ability to assess certification evidence.

Key Responsibilities

• Working as part of the certification team to capture and review evidence, conduct technical investigations and support the delivery of Certificate of Designs to enable customer deliveries.
• Reviewing technical documentation in support of functional evidence
• Review and agree Design Verification Plans (DVP)
• Design reconciliation activities associated with design change and obsolescence
• Work within a multi-discipline engineering team (e.g. Systems, mechanical, electrical, software etc )
• Identify verification gaps, track issues, and support corrective actions.
• Support certification activities by preparing and reviewing compliance documentation, verification reports, and evidence
• Driving in process improvement through efficient ways of working and automation
