Job summary

Dovetail and Slate in Hull is seeking a dedicated Lecturer in Land Based Engineering to contribute to teaching and learning in a permanent, full-time role.

The successful candidate will deliver scheduled teaching, assess and mark student work, develop curriculum, and manage learning environments to support student progression, while building links with industry employers.

You will also participate in college marketing activities and uphold safeguarding and equal opportunity policies.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Agricultural Engineering or Heavy Vehicles
• Related degree or equivalent qualification
• GCSE English Language and Maths (or equivalent)
• Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one

Responsibilities

• Deliver formal scheduled teaching and tutorials; supervise educational visits.
• Assess and mark student work; provide academic feedback.
• Develop existing and new course provisions; maintain quality files and course reviews.
• Generate and maintain employer relationships; collaborate with validating bodies and external examiners.
• Record student data and attendance; participate in college marketing and promotional events.
