Astute's Renewables team is working exclusively with a leading developer in the Renewable Energy sector, committed to driving the energy transition through sustainable development and responsible land use. We're seeking a Land Acquisition Manager to support their growing portfolio of renewable projects across Wind, Solar, and Battery Storage. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced land professional to play a key role in enabling the delivery of vital renewable infrastructure. The role offers a salary of up to £75,000. If you have a strong track record in land acquisition and are looking to contribute to the UK's net zero journey through onshore wind development, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities and Duties
  1. Reporting to the Head of Land, you will:
  2. Identify and evaluate new land opportunities for onshore wind development
  3. Engage with landowners and agents to negotiate land rights (option & lease agreements)
  4. Collaborate with planning, grid, and development teams to drive project feasibility
  5. Build trusted, long-term relationships with landowners, stakeholders, and local authorities
  6. Present sites to the senior team and investment committee for approval
  7. Support land strategy across the full development lifecycle
Professional Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a land acquisition role, ideally within the renewables sector
  • Demonstrated success in generating leads, securing land rights, and developing strong relationships with landowners and stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of UK planning policy and its influence on renewable energy development
  • Knowledge of distribution and transmission networks and their role in energy projects
  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently to meet targets and deadlines
  • Ideally, hold an MRICS accreditation

  • Driven and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in negotiation and cultivating strong, lasting relationships
  • Highly organized, with excellent time management and attention to detail
  • Confident and assertive when necessary to achieve results
