Job summary

This luxury Country House Hotel and adjoining mews apartments are located just a stone’s throw from the picturesque Lake Ullswater and the historic market town of Penrith. Set against uninterrupted views of the Lakeland Fells and Eden Valley, the venue offers a peaceful, high-end environment while remaining conveniently close to the M6 and Penrith train station.

The Role: An experienced Senior Chef / Chef de Partie is required to join a well-established kitchen team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Senior Chef de Partie.
• Strong technical cooking skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stay calm and efficient during service.
• Flexible for evenings and weekends.
• Good understanding of food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Running and maintaining a designated section during service
• Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to a consistently high standard
• Supporting senior kitchen management with daily operations
• Assisting in the training and development of junior chefs
• Ensuring all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards are met
• Assisting with stock control and waste reduction
