Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation in Christchurch is seeking a LabVIEW Electronics Engineer to drive the introduction of new products to production, support production lines, and ensure services are available to manufacturing.

You will work with Engineering on DFM/testability/manufacturability, develop manufacturing processes, design assembly jigs, layout cells, and maintain build guides while applying lean improvements and LabVIEW expertise.

Qualifications

5+ years in a similar electro-mechanical manufacturing role (low/medium/high volume).
Experience with DFM/testability/manufacturability and design of new products.
Computer literate (Word, Excel, SolidWorks).
Knowledge of ERP systems and material processing processes.
Team player with good communication across departments.
Electrical fault finding skills and testing box/circuit design.
Understanding of LabVIEW software.

Responsibilities

Introduce new products to production and support current production lines.
Develop new manufacturing processes and build guides.
Design and produce assembly jigs and fixtures including electrical test boxes.
Layout manufacturing cells with all tooling and services.
Identify improvements to current production processes and implement them.
Investigate and solve manufacturing and quality problems from faults or external suppliers.
Take ownership of departmental projects and ensure safe, available equipment for production.
