Job summary

Peter Knight Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Labourer with a Telehandler for a Colchester site. The role requires operating a Telehandler and performing Labourer duties such as yard cleaning, jet washing lorries, tidying equipment and litter picking. The telehandler licence is mandatory, and you must have your own transport to apply.

The shift is five days out of seven with variable patterns. Hours and patterns are to be agreed with site management; training will be provided and PPE supplied.

Qualifications

• Must have a current Telehandler licence.
• Willing to perform Labourer duties on an approx. 80:20 basis.
• Flexible to work 5 days out of 7, with weekends and variable days off during week.

Responsibilities

• Clean the yard and clean lorries with jet wash.
• Tidy away equipment and litter pick on site.
• Fill a hopper using a front bucket JCB Telehandler and act as banksman as required.
• Assist with site duties as needed in a small team environment.

My client operates a processing plant, and they need a Telehandler Operator who is flexible enough to act as Labourer on an approx. 80:20 Labourer / Telehandler basis at their Colchester site. This is a stand‑alone role within a very small team.

The role is to clean the yard, jet wash lorries and the ground after deliveries, tidy away equipment, litter pick and use a front bucket JCB Telehandler to fill a hopper and act as banksman and generally assist wherever required.

This role operates within a farm type environment. Full PPE will be provided. Full training will be provided.
