NES Group Ltd is seeking a Workshop Labourer for a Montrose site on a 12-month contract, with potential extension. You will support production teams, maintain site standards, and ensure smooth workflow across the workshop and storage areas.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain high housekeeping standards across workshops and outdoor storage areas.
• Move components and equipment to support production flow.
• Operate forklifts, side loaders, and cranes where authorised.
• Assist with deliveries, collections, and material movements.
• Keep production areas clean, organised and safe at all times.
• Complete timesheets and electronic timekeeping records accurately.
• Promote safe working practices and 5S standards.

Job description

Our major oilfield services client is looking for a Workshop Labourer to join their busy operation in Montrose on a 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established workshop environment where you'll play a key role in supporting production teams, maintaining site standards, and ensuring efficient workflow across the facility.

What's on Offer?

• 29 days holiday entitlement
• Overtime Available:
  • 50% uplift Monday to Thursday and first 4 hours Saturday
  • 100% uplift after 4 hours Saturday and all day Sunday

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 16:00
• Friday: 07:00 - 12:00

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of housekeeping across workshops and outdoor storage areas
• Move components and equipment throughout the workshop to support production flow
• Operate forklifts, side loaders, and overhead gantry cranes where authorised
• Carry out power washing of equipment and support painting/blasting activities as required
• Assist with deliveries, collections, and material movements
• Ensure production areas remain clean, organised, and safe at all times
• Empty waste containers and dispose of materials in line with company procedures
• Support machine operators, supervisors, and other departments as required
• Complete timesheets and electronic timekeeping records accuratelyPromote safe working practices and identify potential health and safety risks
• Maintain 5S standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Valid B1 Forklift Licence (essential) from an accredited provider and in date
• Previous experience within a workshop, manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environment
• Ability to carry out manual handling and physical tasks safely
• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to support multiple departments
• Good awareness of health, safety, and housekeeping standards
• Reliable, proactive attitude with a strong work ethic
