Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Workshop Labourer for our Montrose operation on a 12-month contract with potential extension. You will support production teams, maintain site standards and ensure efficient workflow across the facility.

The role requires a valid B1 forklift licence, experience in a workshop or manufacturing environment, and a proactive, safety-conscious approach. Early finish on Fridays and overtime opportunities are included.

Qualifications

• Valid B1 Forklift Licence from an accredited provider and in date.
• Previous experience in a workshop, manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environment.
• Ability to carry out manual handling and physical tasks safely.
• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to support multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of housekeeping across workshops and outdoor storage areas.
• Move components and equipment throughout the workshop to support production flow.
• Operate forklifts, side loaders, and overhead gantry cranes where authorised.
• Carry out power washing of equipment and support painting/blasting activities as required.
• Assist with deliveries, collections, and material movements.
• Ensure production areas remain clean, organised, and safe at all times.
• Empty waste containers and dispose of materials in line with company procedures.
• Support machine operators, supervisors, and other departments as required.
• Complete timesheets and electronic timekeeping records accurately.
• Promote safe working practices and identify potential health and safety risks.
• Maintain 5S standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Our major oilfield services client is looking for a Workshop Labourer to join their busy operation in Montrose on a 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established workshop environment where you'll play a key role in supporting production teams, maintaining site standards, and ensuring efficient workflow across the facility.

What's on Offer?

• 12-month contract with potential extension
• Early finish every Friday
• Working Hours:
  • Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 16:00
  • Friday: 07:00 - 12:00
• Overtime Available:
  • 50% uplift Monday to Thursday and first 4 hours Saturday
  • 100% uplift after 4 hours Saturday and all day Sunday
• 29 days holiday entitlement

Key Responsibilities
