Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Workshop Forklift Engineer in Aberdeen. You will perform routine PPMs and safety inspections on gas, diesel and electric forklifts, diagnose faults, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and control systems.

Based in Aberdeen, you’ll build strong client relationships, work on-site safely, and benefit from overtime pay, 30 days holiday and a pension scheme.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in Material Handling forklift maintenance.
• Knowledge of pneumatics and control systems.
• Experience repairing gas, diesel and electric forklifts.
• Ability to work in a team and on-site.

Job Title: Workshop Forklift Engineer

Salary: £22.00ph - £25.10ph

Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

Location: Aberdeen

About your new company:

My client is a trusted family-run Material Handling Specialist. Due to continued growth in the North-east of Scotland, they are seeking an experienced Forklift Engineer to join their team based within Aberdeen.

About your new Forklift Engineer role:

• Carry out routine planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and safety inspections.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system faults.
• Build strong, professional relationships with our diverse client base while working safely-on site.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Recent and relevant experience in a similar role within the Material Handling industry i.e. Forklift Engineer, Fork truck Engineer or hold a Forklift qualification
• Excellent knowledge of Pneumatics + control systems
• Proven experience repairing and servicing gas, diesel and electric Forklifts
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and diagnostics abilities
