Job summary

Recruit4staff are representing a well-established precision engineering business recruiting a Labourer/Delivery Driver for their Bromborough site. You will split time between workshop support and local collections/deliveries, earning £12.71 per hour with standard hours from Monday to Thursday 8:00am–4:30pm and Friday 8:00am–1:00pm (37 hours/week).

• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect parts to customer sites and subcontractors, and source materials for the workshop.
• Carry out basic van maintenance including tyre pressure checks and oil levels.
• Book goods in and out and keep workshop tidy; assist with housekeeping and machine cleaning.
• Assist engineers by preparing refreshments and maintaining machinery and cleanliness to support production.

Job Role:

As a Labourer/ Delivery Driver, you will split your time between supporting the workshop team and carrying out local collections and deliveries. The Labourer/ Delivery Driver will collect and deliver parts to customer sites and subcontractors, source materials for the workshop, carry out basic van maintenance including tyre pressure checks, oil levels and cleaning, and book goods in and out. Workshop duties include housekeeping, machine cleaning, grounds maintenance, preparing refreshments for engineers and keeping machinery clean and organised to support production.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

• Full UK driving licence
• Good organisational skills
• Physically fit and capable of completing manual handling tasks
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Previous experience as ain a similar role
• Experience working within an engineering, warehousing or manufacturing environment
