Job summary

GAP Group Ltd. is seeking a proactive Labourer for our Plant & Tools division at the Swansea depot.

You will help keep the workshop and yard organized, prepare equipment for hire, and support the team to deliver excellent service across construction and infrastructure sectors. The role involves ensuring a clean, safe workspace, carrying out refuelling and quality checks, and may include driving duties and forklift operation where licensed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a labourer, ideally in a hire depot or yard environment.
• CSCS card is advantageous for site access.
• Forklift licence is advantageous for handling equipment.
• Driving licence is beneficial for driving duties.
• Strong team player with willingness to support colleagues.
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Keep the workshop and yard clean, tidy, and hazard-free.
• Clean plant equipment and store it in an orderly fashion.
• Refuel plant and machinery and update fuel logs.
• Quality-check equipment before it leaves the depot to ensure it's hire-ready.
• Assist with general workshop duties as required.
• Carry out driving duties (subject to licence) and assist Drivers/customers with loading/unloading.

You'll maintain a clean and hazard-free workshop and yard, prepare plant equipment for hire, and support the wider team to deliver exceptional service to our customers across construction, utilities, and infrastructure sectors. What You'll Be Doing

• Keeping the workshop and yard clean, tidy, and hazard-free
• Cleaning plant equipment and store it in an orderly fashion
• Refuelling plant and machinery, accurately updating fuel logs
• Quality-checking equipment before it leaves the depot to ensure it's hire-ready
• Assisting with general workshop duties as required
• Carrying out driving duties (subject to licence) and assisting Drivers and customers with loading and unloading vehicles
• Operating forklift when necessary
