Randstad CPE advertises a dependable general labourer for a forthcoming commercial construction project in Bishop Auckland. You will support site logistics, assist with material movement, waste management and keep operations safe and running smoothly.

Essential CSCS card and proven site labour experience are required. You must wear full PPE and be punctual, with the ability to follow strict health and safety procedures. Applications from those based in Bishop Auckland or nearby are welcome.

The Role:

We are currently recruiting a dependable general labourer for an upcoming commercial construction project launching in Bishop Auckland next month.

Working alongside an established main contractor, you will play a key role in supporting site logistics, managing commercial waste, and keeping daily site operations running smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting sub-contractors and specialist trade teams with moving materials and equipment across site.
• Keeping site access routes, compounds, and work areas clean, safe, and organised.
• Managing commercial waste, clearing debris, and loading skips.
• Assisting with the unloading, checking, and distribution of incoming site deliveries.
• Carrying out general physical labour and manual handling duties as directed by the Site Manager.

Role Requirements:

• Valid CSCS card (Essential).
• Proven experience working as a labourer on commercial construction projects.
• Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis jacket/vest, steel toe cap boots).
• A proactive, safety-conscious work ethic and excellent punctuality.
• Ability to follow strict site health and safety procedures.
• Based in or easily commutable to Bishop Auckland (County Durham / Newton Aycliffe / Darlington area).
