Job summary

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced midwife to join our current team. You will lead clinical governance on inpatient wards, ensuring safe, compassionate and high quality care for women, birthing people, babies and families.

The role involves clinical and operational leadership of the multidisciplinary team, staffing, patient flow, policy compliance and driving quality and safety improvements across maternity services.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience as a registered midwife.
• Evidence of post-registration education and ongoing development.
• Teaching, mentoring and supervision experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible clinical leadership and professional support to the MDT.
• Ensure safe, evidence-based and person-centred care.
• Manage staffing, workforce planning and performance.
• Monitor incidents and safeguarding, take action when needed.
• Support staff education, orientation and ongoing development.
