Job summary

Wren Kitchens Limited is seeking a Laboratory Technician for our Barton-upon-Humber factory. The role focuses on laboratory testing of materials, components and finished products to ensure quality and safety, while compiling detailed reports.

You will work five days a week, 07:00 to 15:30, supporting audits and customer visits. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, good numeracy and experience with Excel/Word, plus a safety-focused mindset and the ability to follow procedures

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written procedures consistently.
• Good numeracy and the ability to interpret specifications and test results.
• Accurate record-keeping and basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise testing workloads.
• Clear communication skills and the confidence to raise concerns.
• A responsible approach to laboratory safety and housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples and perform tests using approved procedures.
• Record and report results and support investigations and trials.
• Check and maintain laboratory equipment, calibration records and consumables.
• Keep the laboratory clean, organised and safe.
• Maintain test records and support audits and customer visits.
• Follow safety and COSHH requirements and suggest improvements to testing.
• Assist with trials, validation activities and the introduction of new test methods.
• Support customer visits with basic explanation of lab procedures.
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate records and evidence.
