Quotient Sciences in Nottingham is seeking a Laboratory Technician on a 6-month fixed‑term contract. The role is hands-on and supports laboratory operations, ensuring scientists have the equipment, materials, and resources needed to deliver high-quality work.

You will maintain labs, manage materials, prepare reagents, calibrate equipment, and keep accurate records in line with SOPs and training requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow procedures and maintain quality standards.
• Basic IT skills, including databases and Microsoft Office.
• Good organisational skills for multitasking and keeping records.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Good communication and collaborative teamwork.
• Proactive approach to support a range of lab activities.
• Ability to work safely in a laboratory environment.

Responsabilités

• Support the smooth running of laboratory operations by keeping areas clean, organised, and well‑stocked.
• Manage laboratory materials: receiving, labelling, stock tracking, and database updates.
• Prepare reagents and other materials required by scientific teams.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment such as pipettes and balances.
• Complete daily monitoring activities and maintain accurate records for water systems.
• Issue, maintain, and monitor laboratory logbooks and associated records for traceability.
• Maintain auditable documentation in line with quality requirements and SOPs.
