Job summary

Skills 4 Pharmacy in Cambridge is offering a Level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship. You will support day-to-day lab work, assist with testing, prepare samples and keep records, all while being trained and supported throughout the apprenticeship.

No previous laboratory experience is required; you will develop practical skills, follow safety standards and work as part of a team to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy.

Qualifications

• GCSEs Maths, English and a science subject at grade 4–9 (or equivalent).
• Interest in science and laboratory work.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
• Basic IT and data handling skills.

Job description

As a Laboratory Technician Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day work of the laboratory, assisting with testing, preparing samples and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. You will be trained and supported throughout the apprenticeship.

Assisting with laboratory tests and experiments under supervision

Preparing samples, materials and equipment for testing

Accurately recording results and maintaining laboratory records

Cleaning, maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment

Following health & safety procedures and quality standards
