Qualifications

• Familiarity with handling large samples (~20 kg) is necessary.
• IOSH Working Safely certificate is desirable.

Job description

CK Group are recruiting for a Laboratory Technician, to join a manufacturing company, that provides products to the agricultural industry, at their site based in Teesside, on a temporary basis for 6 months. The salary for this equates to £26,000 pa.


Laboratory Technician main duties:

• Preparing and analysing exploration drill core samples.
• Keeping the Laboratory Manager informed of laboratory problems on a day-to-day basis.
• Developing good relationships with team members and internal customers.
• Following method statements and risk assessments.
• Working with other laboratory staff, to determine potential efficiency and performance improvements to workflows within the department.

Your Background:

The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience:

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in Science, Maths and English.
• Ability to handle large and heavy samples of drill core (~20 kg) on a regular basis.
• IOSH Working Safely certificate (desirable).
