Laboratory Technician

Location: Market Drayton

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 4 on 4 off (days), 7AM – 7PM

We are seeking a Laboratory Technician for our Market Drayton butter department within Müller Milk & Ingredients.

The primary role involves ensuring quality performance through analysis, testing, and continuous improvement aligned with Müller values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct quality testing and data evaluation to provide technical expertise
• Engage in problem-solving and troubleshooting through data analysis
• Contribute to building QMS capabilities on-site
• Manage laboratory tasks and systems (e.g., 5S)
• Support quality control operations and process confirmations
• Prepare and manage reports such as the Quality Index
• Participate in internal and external audits
• Identify waste and improvement opportunities, leading continuous improvement projects
• Collaborate with team members to enhance business processes

Qualifications and Skills:

• HACCP Awareness (Level 2-3)
• Basic Food Hygiene
• Microbiology and aseptic techniques
• Internal audit experience
• Yellow and Green belt problem solving
• A3 problem solving methodology
• Proficiency in Word and Excel
• Electronic Data Capture skills
• Knowledge of Dairy Science
