Laboratory Technician – Market Drayton

Location: Market Drayton
Type: Permanent
Shift: 4 on 4 off (days), 7AM - 7PM

We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our butter department within the Mller Milk & Ingredients business in Market Drayton. The primary role of the Laboratory Technician is to ensure quality performance through analysis, subject knowledge, and testing, while continuously striving for improvement in line with Mller values.

Key Tasks

1. Provide expertise through quality-based testing and data evaluation.
2. Engage actively in problem-solving and troubleshooting via data analysis.
3. Contribute to building QMS capability across the site.
4. Manage laboratory tasks and systems (e.g., 5S).
5. Support and process quality control responsibilities.
6. Maintain governance over Quality Index and other monthly reports.
7. Participate in internal and external audit processes.
8. Identify waste in processes and seek continuous improvement opportunities.
9. Collaborate with team members to enhance business processes.

Candidate Requirements

• HACCP Awareness (Level 2-3)
• Basic Food Hygiene knowledge
• Microbiology and aseptic techniques
• Experience with Internal Audits
• Yellow and Green belt problem-solving skills
• A3 problem-solving methodology
• Proficiency in Word and Excel
• Electronic Data Capture experience
