A leading company in testing and analysis is seeking a Laboratory Technician in Manchester. The successful candidate will perform sampling and analysis, ensuring adherence to client specifications and operational efficiency. The role requires a science background and prior laboratory experience.

As a Laboratory Technician, you’ll be responsible for performing sampling of protective coatings in accordance with appropriate approved test procedures, international standards and within customer requirements to ensure effective throughput for ongoing projects. You will also perform round robin analysis ensuring any failures are recorded and investigated with appropriate action taken.

Hours:Monday - Friday 7.30am - 4pm
Job Location: Manchester
Salary: £25, 397 - £26,000

Key Accountabilities;
To be successful in this role, you’ll need a science background, ideally in polymer science, chemistry, mechanical engineering or corrosion engineering. You will have strong organisation skills with the ability to adopt a flexible approach to work and react effectively to a rapidly changing environment,
In addition to the above you’ll also need to demonstrate the following;
Previous experience of working in a testing laboratory, meeting exacting process and client demands.
GCSE Science/Mathematics/English, or equivalent, grades A to C
