Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma, HND, degree or equivalent in Chemistry or related science.
• Experience with laboratory instruments such as Leco and/or ICP-OES preferred.
• LIMS experience is an advantage.
• Entry-level candidates considered with a strong willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples, reagents and standards, and carry out routine analytical testing.
• Operate, calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments.
• Identify abnormal results and help investigate out-of-specification results.
• Support internal audits, proficiency testing and method validation.
• Work closely with analysts, supervisors and production colleagues.

We're recruiting a Laboratory Technician for a well-established specialist manufacturer in Ellesmere Port who are going through a period of expansion. You'll join the Quality Control lab, where your analytical testing will support production and make sure products meet strict quality standards. Full training is given on site.

Due to location a full UK Driving Licence and access to your own transport is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare samples, reagents and standards, and carry out routine analytical testing
• Operate, calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments
• Identify abnormal results and help investigate out-of-specification results
• Support internal audits, proficiency testing and method validation
• Work closely with analysts, supervisors and production colleagues

About You

• A Diploma, HND, degree or equivalent in Chemistry or a related science
• Experience with Leco and/or ICP-OES is preferred, and LIMS experience is an advantage
• Previous QC or analytical lab experience is desirable, but entry-level candidates will be considered
• Strong attention to detail and a keen interest in learning
